We are thrilled to announce the resounding success of our annual flagship event in Onslow County, Breakfast at the Kids’ Table! The event, which brought together approximately 300 attendees, stands as a testament to the power of collective goodwill and the unwavering commitment to our mission. With hearts full of gratitude and a community united in purpose, we achieved an incredible milestone, raising an astounding $75,000 to support the expansion of our organization in Onslow County to reach more youth. Your support are going to directly fuel immediate expansion efforts which include two new Club sites: New Bridge Middle School and the Sandy Run Community Center. These two sites will serve as a new direction for our organization: middle school after-school care and housing community partnerships.
The day featured impactful speeches from two amazing speakers: Jessiah Vann and Cedric Spearmon. Jessiah, a current staff member, was also a former Club member. She shared how much the Club impacted her growing up and has shaped her into the woman she is today. Cedric, current captain and assistant chief administrator for the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office, shared about the impression that positive influences and mentors have on youth.
From the heartfelt stories of transformation shared by our impactful speakers to the moving videos that vividly captured the essence of our mission, the morning was nothing short of inspiring. We are immensely thankful for our community’s overwhelming response, as every dollar raised will directly contribute to creating a brighter future for our youth. This significant contribution will empower us to expand our programs, provide essential resources, and continue cultivating a safe and nurturing environment where potential is realized, dreams are ignited, and success is achieved.
Golden Corral’s generous provision of a delicious breakfast added a special touch to the event, demonstrating their commitment to fostering the well-being of our community. The morning was a reminder that when individuals, businesses, and organizations come together with a shared purpose, remarkable achievements are within reach. As we reflect on the success of “Breakfast at the Kids’ Table,” we extend our deepest gratitude to all who contributed, attended, and supported this event.
